For more than twenty years, Luciana Brito has been engaged in the promotion and dissemination of Brazilian contemporary art. After the partnership that formed Galeria Brito Cimino came to a close in March 2009, Luciana Brito Galeria has been widening its support of artistic production beyond the commercial aspects, believing in the autonomy of the creative processes.

The gallery’s partnership and joint effort with the artists has allowed for the realization of large-scale projects, such as monographic publications and exhibitions, in the gallery itself or in institutional spaces. Alongside this work, the gallery has enlarged its role as an ambassador of contemporary production, through its participation in international art fairs such as Armory Show, Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach, ARCO and SP Arte.

The gallery’s space was recently remodeled and enlarged, now with two large interlinked yet independent areas, thus allowing for extensive exhibitions as well as simultaneous shows of a more intimist nature. This expansion intensified the gallery’s line of work, allowing it to represent a longer roster of artists.

Luciana Brito Galeria currently represents more than twenty Brazilian and international artists, holding an average of ten exhibitions per year, all accompanied by bilingual catalogs. In its continued efforts aimed at the dissemination of knowledge concerning contemporary artistic production, its trends and its poetics, the gallery also holds lectures and courses related to the exhibitions it presents.
