The Tomie Ohtake Institute presents "Os Muitos e o Um" a collective show held from Andrea and Jose Olympio Pereira's collection. In the exhibition, which occupies the entire exhibition space of the Institute, the American curator Robert Storr, with the support of Paulo Miyada, curator of the institution, selected about 300 works including paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations and videos from more than a hundred Brazilian artists. The choice of works held by the curators wants to favor more the individual iconic character of each work than to establish a dialogue between them.

Among many important names in art the exhibition presents both a historical core of artists such as Alfredo Volpi, Ivan Serpa, Lygia Clark, Lygia Pape, Mira Schendel, Willys de Castro, Helio Oiticica, Amilcar de Castro and Geraldo de Barros (Chavantes, 1923) – featuring 4 photographs of the Fotoformas series – as artists of a later generation as Rafael Carneiro (São Paulo, 1985) whose work appears on the show in a room dedicated to painting on the first floor of the institution. The exhibition that runs until the 23th, provides a consistent overview of the last 60 years of Brazilian artistic production.
