Through a private collection of images and small objects, the artist works on different supports ranging from photography and videos to installations, to present the viewer with allegorical and distorted narratives of reality and time.
A partir de referências da cultura popular e da memória coletiva, Liliana Porter recorre a procedimentos que tangenciam o fantástico para compor obras que subvertem as convenções do cotidiano e da própria arte. Ao criar situações ambíguas e, por vezes, controversas, que a artista denomina “vinhetas teatrais”, Liliana Porter constrói cenas nas quais o humor e o estranhamento operam como dispositivos críticos.
