Héctor Zamora’s internationally recognized work explores social patterns, aesthetic legacies, and archetypal inheritances, often drawing on traditional aspects linked to the historical weight of Western cultures. "Variações de dois" [Variations of Two] (2023) develops a recurring line of inquiry in the artist’s practice through cobogó-style ventilation bricks arranged on the wall. The ceramic blocks are organized in a modular system to explore relationships of repetition, balance, and variation. These elements, common in popular Latin American architecture, function as a metaphor for questioning capitalist systems of construction and labor, and the ways they relate to the foundations of Latin American society.
