Leandro Erlich’s work explores the artifices of vision, though games of perception and sensory experience. The architecture of everyday life is a recurring theme in his practice, often used to construct paradoxes between what we believe and what we see. In Order of Importance (2019), Erlich created a monumental installation of 66 vehicles sculpted from compacted beach sand, presented during Art Basel Miami Beach. This piece served as the inspiration for the sculpture Concrete Coral (2024).
