Héctor Zamora is internationally recognized for his research that problematizes social patterns, aesthetic heritages, and cultural archetypes, often starting from traditional elements traversed by the historical weight of Western cultures. In Tres – Doce Negro (2025), the artist presents a work composed of 15 terracotta pieces, combined according to a specific rhythmic arrangement. A recurring material in his practice since 2000, terracotta has its structural function, associated with civil construction, displaced to the field of formal and symbolic experimentation. The geometric arrangement of the pieces establishes a new relationship between the phenomena of chaos and control, affirming the artist's interest in the process of development and ordering of the urban fabric. These elements, common to Latin American vernacular architecture, thus become critical metaphors for challenging capitalist production systems, the dynamics of the workforce, and their implications for the social and historical foundations of Latin America.
