Rob Wynne is a collector of memories. Deeply attuned to his own surroundings and to popular culture, he uses visual syntax to bring together fragments drawn from conversations, literature, theater, film and other sources in works that place text at their center, as in Sonhar [To Dream] (2025) and Saudades… [Longing / To Miss] (2025). By chance, during a visit to a glass foundry, the artist discovered his true interest in this material, which has since become central to his practice. Working with glass while it is still molten, he creates organic forms that arise from its fluid state – an approach inspired serendipitously, when a ladle of melted glass slipped from his hand and fell to the floor, creating what he describes as a “cosmic explosion.”
