Gabriela Machado’s paintings reveal fragments of her daily life. The scenes, colors, and forms that pass through her everyday experience have, since 2017, served the artist as a kind of “logbook.” Paintings on a larger scale, such as "Aroeira" (2025–2026), bring gestural expressiveness to a more bodily scale through rapid, organic processes by which the artist externalizes her feelings and states of mind. Paintings made in this vein were featured in "Ainda Bem, Atravessei as Nuvens", the exhibition that opened the gallery’s 2026 program and signaled the artist’s move toward a more openly figurative language in large-format works.
