Light runs through Ivan Navarro’s work as a central thread, which often addresses society, politics, and art history while also conveying subliminal messages to the viewer through titles, colors, and symbols. His luminous, colorful installations engage with minimalism, provoking our senses as we interact with them. Born under the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, Navarro grew up amid tactics deployed by the government that included cutting off electricity to impose curfews on the population. "Diamante Duplo (Amarelo – Azul)" [Double Diamond (Yellow – Blue)] (2020) was included in the exhibition "Exfinito" [Exfinite], held at Farol Santander in São Paulo in 2021 and curated by Marcello Dantas.
