Tiago Tebet’s artistic inquiry is rooted in painting, a medium he continually reinvents through unconventional materials and techniques. His work stands out for the originality with which it explores the possibilities and specificities of pictorial representation. Both Introdução à arte, literatura, filosofia, amor e a criação do ser (2025–2026) and Mein Deustcher freund (2025–2026) belong to his most recent body of work, in which the paintings lie at the threshold between the visible and the invisible, the abstract and the figurative. Conceiving painting as a space of energetic resignification, Tebet constructs surfaces of color that oscillate between abstract autonomy and the suggestion of latent, invisible beings, giving rise to an ambiguity that challenges the viewer’s gaze.
